An energy and functional redevolpment of a residential building
RECOVERING THE BUILDNG INDUSTRY The issue of recovering the widespread residential construction in cities, built in the second half of the last century, isof great relevance today. In addition to the maintenance needs connected with the age of the buildings, intervention must include systems for the enhancement of energy efficiency, which are necessary for buildings to become compliant with the new requirements of sustainable living. diventino adeguati alle nuove esigenze dell’abitare e del vivere sostenibile.
Interventions on the envelope are therefore at the top of the agenda. The intervention in Via dei Gracchi is emblematic: the new "skin" of the building combines the need to improve energy performance, achieved by applying insulation throughout the envelope, façades and roof, and a new contemporary image, through the use of a ventilated façade system with ceramic elements. 
The variety of colours and surfaces, together with a "running" laying system that can perfectly adapt to existing holes, allows the building to present itself with a contemporary and sober appearance, as if it were a new outfit designed to last over time.
